Weather conditions to lower Dec operating rates across zinc miners

Dec 14 (LTIT) –Operating rates across zinc mines in China are expected to fall 6.2 percentage points from November to stand at 46.6% in December as cold weather deters miners in the north from operating in high gear. 

In November, rates grew 5.4 percentage points month on month and came in at 82.8% as a rush to meet annual production targets fuelled production enthusiasm among zinc miners. Output recovery from maintenance also helped grow rates.
